What is All Star Cheerleading? Frequently Asked Questions
All Star Cheerleading combines stunting, tumbling, jumps and dance to create exciting, choreographed competitive routines. It offers athletes the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence and work as part of a team, with a strong focus on progression, performance and competition.
What are recreational classes like?
Our 1-hour recreational classes are fun, supportive and suitable for all abilities. Athletes work on stunts, tumbling, jumps and dance through games, activities and safe progressions, with a different focus each week.
We keep our class sizes small so every athlete receives individualised coaching and support.
Sessions include a game, warm-up and physical preparation before moving into skill-based activities.
Throughout the year, athletes also work towards a fun showcase performance for friends and family to enjoy!
Do I need prior experience to join?
Not at all! Bloom Elite welcomes athletes of all abilities, from complete beginners to those with years of experience. We have a place for everyone to grow.
How do I sign up for a free taster session?
Pop us an email or fill out this form and we will contact you with an enrolment form to sign up for a free taster session.
What should athletes wear to training?
Comfortable athletic wear is best for cheerleading (e.g shorts or leggings and a t-shirt), with hair tied back securely and no jewellery. For taster sessions and initial trial classes, athletes can wear clean indoor trainers or go barefoot.
Once they have decided to join, cheerleading shoes are required for training, and athletes will also need to purchase a Bloom Elite training T-shirt (FREE for our first 25 founding members!).
How do we join a competitive team?
Tryouts for competitive teams usually happens just before our summer training block. Keep an eye on our social media and website for announcements.
Where are your classes located?
We are based in Sheriff Hutton Village Hall, York. Check out our find us page for more information. In late 2027 we will be moving to a permanent facility at The Padel Farm, York - only a 4 minute drive from our current space.
