Meet the Director & Head Coach
Hi, I'm Olivia, Director and Head Coach of Bloom Elite Cheerleading & Gymnastics.
Growing up in York, sport has been a huge part of my life from an early age. I trained in women's artistic gymnastics until I was 18, discovering my passion for coaching along the way.
At just 14 years old, I began my coaching journey, gaining my UKCC Level 1 and Level 2 Women's Artistic Gymnastics coaching qualifications.
I graduated from York St John University with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Science and Injury Rehabilitation, where I also discovered competitive cheerleading as a member of York St John Kats. That experience sparked a passion that has shaped the last decade of my coaching career.
Over the past 10 years, I've coached cheerleading in York, as well as spending two incredible years in Australia coaching gymnastics in Sydney. Today, I'm a qualified Level 1-6 Cheerleading Coach, working with athletes of all ages and abilities.
Bloom was created because I wanted to build more than just a cheerleading club. I wanted to create a place where every athlete feels supported, challenged, and genuinely excited to come to training. Whether an athlete is taking their very first class or working towards high-level competitive skills, my focus is on always helping them develop safely, build confidence, and enjoy the journey.
Watching athletes flourish, inside and outside the gym, is the reason I love what I do. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing someone discover what they're capable of, and that's exactly what Bloom is all about: helping every athlete grow, thrive, and bloom into the strongest, most confident version of themselves.
About the Club Director & Head Coach
Our Bloom Elite journey begins in October 2026. This pre-season phase will provide local athletes in and around York with all star cheerleading and recreational gymnastics, tumbling, flexibility training, and bespoke 1:1 training.
These sessions are designed to cultivate foundational strength and confidence as we prepare for our official first season in September 2027. Starting in Season 1, we are excited to move into our custom fitted facility at Padel Farm, York.
This space includes a competition standard 9-panel sprung floor, a 9m fast track with landing area, non-sprung warm up and conditioning area, waiting area for parents and families, athlete area and lots more equipment. This expansion will allow us to launch our full competitive cheerleading programme for all levels and age groups.
